Certification to enhance efficiency of downloadsBrovada Technologies has obtained Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) Certification for eDocs.

eDocs is the first business activity available for CSIO Certification. The centre plans to expand the certification program – which is available to member insurance companies and vendors – to cover other activities, notes a statement from CSIO, the national standards association of property and casualty insurers, brokers and software providers.

“By obtaining CSIO Certification for our eDocs solution, we’re confident that brokers and insurers using our technology will support eDocs downloads as efficiently as possible,” says Michael Wright, senior vice president of operations at Brovada, a software provider specializing in business process integration, system conversions, legacy system integrations and broker connectivity.

“We recognize the value of providing standards-based solutions and are thrilled to be among the first vendors certified,” Wright continues.

CSIO data exchange standards are company-neutral and are designed to help solve data compatibility issues, facilitate more efficient and seamless integration of information, and improve implementation of technology solutions, notes the CSIO statement.

“It is encouraging to see more p&c industry stakeholders obtaining CSIO Certification for eDocs as this indicates a widespread commitment to the principle that technology solutions should be implemented consistently across the broker channel, rather than in proprietary ways,” comments Catherine Smola, CSIO president and CEO.
