Business insurance quotes now available online

An online insurance marketplace, kanetix, is expanding its online quote service to include Ontario business insurance, the company has announced.
“Before we added business insurance to the quote service, insurance shoppers coming to kanetix could get quotes for their personal auto, home, motorcycle, life, critical illness and travel insurance needs,” kanetix co-founder Gregory Ellis says. “With the addition of business insurance however, kanetix can now help Ontario shoppers get quotes for all facets of their life both professional and personal.”
kanetix clients can now get business insurance quotes for their company auto, general liability, theft, or damage to their company’s equipment or property. Quotes can be obtained for all company sizes.
The kanetix business insurance quote service is currently available to Ontario residents, although there are plans to expand, the company has announced.
Visitors to kanetix’s site can select the insurance quote of their choice and choose to complete the application for coverage online or purchase their policy over the phone.
The latest expansion follows kanetix’s announced affiliation with CIBC Insurance. One month ago, kanetix announced it was powering an “independent online automobile and property insurance shopping tool” to CIBC clients and other online visitors to CIBC’s Web site.
“[Web site visitors] to www.cibc.com can now link directly to comparison-shopping for automobile and property insurance from competing insurance providers in Alberta and Ontario,” kanetix announced in January.
“Automobile and property insurance is something that most people need, but it can also be a major expense,” kanetix quotes Rick Lancaster, senior vice president of CIBC Insurance, as saying. “Clients are already coming to our Web site for financial information,” and now they can easily link to a site that will allow them to research and compare automobile and property insurance quotes in Alberta and Ontario, quickly and easily.”
