Colin Simpson resigns from Kingsways’ board of directors

Colin Simpson has stepped down from Kingsway Financial Services Inc.’s board of directors.
Simpson was the company’s former president and CEO. He resigned in April 2010 and was replaced by Larry Swets. Simpson remained on the board of directors.
“We are grateful to Colin for his contributions, and we wish him continued success in his future endeavours,” said Spencer L. Schneider.
The announcement came on the heels of an acquisition by Kingsway and Atlas Financial Holdings Inc. (formerly JJR VI Acquisition Corp.) of American Country Insurance Company and American Service Company Inc. The firms are now subsidiaries of Atlas.
