Conversion software now available for building replacement cost calculator

The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) and Compu-Quote have announced the availability of conversion software for brokers using the ezITV tool.
In late 2008, Compu-Quote announced the change of building replacement cost calculator within its rating services, sparking concerns among brokers about the potential loss of data that they had been collecting as part of their client files.
ITV Conversion Software for CQ Rating Service is an application that allows brokers to convert and transfer selected consumer data that is stored in the EvaluRater database to the ezITV application, a joint IBAO and Compu-Quote statement says.
“Once installed, the broker may, at its own leisure and pace, convert and transfer as many files as they wish,” the statement says. “What’s more, CQ support staff will be available during regular business hours to provide free customer support.”
The IBAO has negotiated a “preferred rate” for IBAO members, which in essence will cover Compu-Quote’s development and ongoing support costs related to the project.
“We are satisfied that Compu-Quote fully understood our requirements for the tool and addressed our concerns,” said Randy Carroll, IBAO’s CEO. “With the availability of the ITV Conversion Software, brokers will be able to maintain much of the data they’ve collected from their clients over the last number of years with next to no effort.”
