Danielle Boulet is stepping down as chair of the Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators (CCIR) after three years of service, according to a post on the CCIR’s website.
Carolyn Rogers, CCIR vicechair and CEO and superintendent of the Financial Services Commission of British Columbia, has agreed to act as interim chair of CCIR until the regularly scheduled elections in spring 2013.
“CCIR wishes to express our thanks to Danielle Boulet for her valuable service to CCIR, both as member and chair for the past three years,” the CCIR says in its 2012 Summer Conference Call Highlights.
“Danielle’s dedication to charting a new direction for CCIR and the energy she gave to make this a reality will not soon be forgotten. We will do our best to keep up the momentum she worked so hard to build.”
Boulet’s term as chair included a re-vamp of the organization’s mission and vision statements, emphasizing collaboration with policymakers while recognizing that regulators do not make policy.
