Only one month into its operations in Canada, DAS Canada has already become a full partner of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC)’s Broker Identity Program.
The program’s centerpiece is the magenta broker logo known as the ‘Bipper.’ The symbol is intended to represent the value insurance brokers bring to their clients, including choice, coverage, security and peace of mind.
“Legal expense insurance is not well known in Canada and we believe we need the support of brokers in building awareness among Canadians,” said DAS Canada CEO Barbara Haynes in a press release. “We are delighted to align ourselves with the Broker Identity Program.”
Since April 2010, a number of insurers have maintained full partnerships in the Bipper program, including Gore Mutual Insurance Company, AXA Canada Inc., Portage Mutual, Mennonite Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Grain Insurance and Guarantee Company, Pembridge Insurance Company, Intact Insurance, Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance, SGI and RSA.
In addition, in July 2010, Aviva Canada rejoined the rank of full partner of the Broker Identity Program for 2010.
