Risk modeling firm EQECAT is releasing a new catastrophe software platform called RQE (Risk Quantification & Engineering) version 13.

The platform, which will go live this fall, is “the single largest release of its kind,” according to EQECAT. It will include a comprehensive portfolio aggregation tool, enhanced financial model and improved user interface, among other options.

RQE v. 13 will also include the update of 180 country/peril models extending to vulnerability, hazard and correlation/simulation updates.

Hazard and vulnerability have been updated for a number of models to incorporate new scientific research and detailed analyses of claims and exposure data from recent events, EQECAT notes in a release.
