EGI Financial Holdings Inc. (TSX: EFH) has appointed Mary G. Connolly to the boards of directors of EGI and its subsidiary, Echelon General Insurance Company.
Connolly was most recently the managing director of the Toronto office of the law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain, LLP (FMC).
In her role with FMC, Connolly was responsible for directing operations of the Toronto practice, including the planning and implementation of growth strategies, ensuring excellence in client service levels and facilitating a process of continuous improvement.
Prior to joining FMC, Connolly operated her own management consulting firm and also served with Ernst & Young, both in a management consulting and professional accountancy capacity.
“The appointment of Mary Connolly to the boards of EGI Financial and Echelon is an important step in positioning the company for continued success,” Paul F. Little, chairman of EGI Financial, said. “Her extensive experience helping companies manage growth will be particularly valuable to our company as we continue to take advantage of market opportunities to expand the scope of our operations.”
Founded in 1997, EGI Financial operates in the property and casualty insurance industry in Canada, primarily focusing on non-standard automobile insurance and other niche and specialty general insurance products.
