Crawford & Company (NYSE: CRDA; CRDB) has announced that Glenn Gibson is leaving his role as executive vice president for global strategy, projects and development to become CEO of a consulting practice the company is building in Canada.

In his new role, Gibson would be responsible for further developing Crawford’s Canadian consulting practice in the areas of technical loss adjusting, arbitrations, strategic planning and enterprise risk management.

“Glenn has a unique skill set that combines technical knowledge with skills in strategic planning and enterprise risk management, and we expect him to leverage those abilities to provide the Canadian market with a tremendous resource,” said Jeffrey Bowman, president and CEO.

Gibson began his insurance career at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and later helped build Adjusters Canada into the largest claims administration firm in the country. He has held a number of executive positions with Crawford since the company purchased Adjusters Canada in 1998.
