A team of Insurance Corporation of B.C. (ICBC) employees sporting moustaches throughout the month of November managed to raise more than $35,000 for Prostate Cancer Canada.
The initiative was part of the ‘Movember Campaign.’ During November of each year, in Canada and around the world, men sprout moustaches on their upper lips to raise funds and awareness of men’s health, specifically prostate cancer. Family and friends can offer financial pledges and donations during the month.
More than 440,000 people from around the world participated in Movember in 2010, raising $76.8 million.
