Insurance professionals in Manitoba now have access to a new Level 1 licensing program.

ILScorp. has announced that the ILS Introduction to General Insurance (ILS ICI) program, first launched in British Columbia in January, recently received accreditation from the General Insurance Council of Manitoba.

Twenty-five students took part in the first live ILS IGI training seminar in February, resulting in more than 80% passing the final exam on the first try and the vast majority scoring 90% or better, reports ILScorp., which provides insurance and financial services education and training.

Students have access to a text book, online text or video instruction, study guide, electronic flash cards and practice exams so they can review material at their own pace.

“We found that students had very limited options in obtaining their Level 1 insurance salesperson licence,” says Ken MacRae, president and CEO of ILScorp. “Now newcomers to the insurance industry in Manitoba can also benefit from the most up-to-date and comprehensive licensing program.”
