McLennan Group Insurance launches mobile app for CARP members

The McLennan Group Insurance Inc. announced earlier this week the Insurance Programs for CARP Members mobile application is available now.

Aptly named CARPMembers, the quick, easy and free app is available to current and future CARP members, notes a joint statement from McLennan Group Insurance, a nationally licensed personal lines brokerage owned by Northbridge Insurance Company, and CARP, a national organization committed to cultivating a new vision of aging for Canada.

The app – which is available for iPhone 3GS-5 (iOS 4.01-6.0) and works on iPad, Android Smartphones (OS 2.3.3-OS 4.0) and Blackberry Bold 9900 and Torch 9850/9860 (both with OS 7.0) – provides users with the ability to do the following:

• browse through the Brochure Rack for product information, rates and applications;
• organize insurance information (including photos and policy data) in one convenient location in the MyBriefcase section;
• review the step-by-step claims guide; and
• learn low-cost and no-cost safety tips for auto, home and travel.

The app offers comprehensive information on all insurance programs available to CARP members, as well as allows them to obtain simplified auto, pet and travel insurance quotations.

The offering is “just one more example of how The McLennan Group Insurance Inc. is helping to make insurance easier to understand for CARP members,” adds Jason Bednarz, director of direct personal lines for Northbridge Insurance.
