MFX signs tech deal with C.V. Starr

MFX, a provider of technology and IT outsourcing solutions, has signed a deal with holding company C.V. Starr for a comprehensive application service provider solution to C.V. Starr’s policy, claims and reinsurance processing needs.
C.V. Starr is a New-York based holding company with insurance agencies and a portfolio of global investments. Historically, the company has produced about US$2 billion annually of comprehensive insurance coverage among several specialty lines covering aviation, marine, excess casualty and property, including risks with international exposures.
Under the terms of the agreement, MFX which has locations in New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Dublin, Ireland and Toronto will provide C.V. Starr with hardware, software and systems support.
MFX’s processing services platform includes ClaimsAssure (claims processing system), WriteNow (underwriting and policy administration), a premium billing and collection system, and SecureSource (data center outsourcing) products.
According to MFX chairman and CEO Raymond Roy: “This is a business relationship tailor-made for MFX. Our experience, product line and strong track record in the Insurance industry support the objective that C.V. Starr was looking to achieve.”
John Cunningham of CV Starr Information Systems commented: “MFX’s background in the insurance marketplace convinced us that they were the right partner to manage our systems.
“It was critical that we appointed a technology solutions provider that not only had an intimate knowledge of the insurance market, but also had the ability to provide the infrastructure, technical support and expertise to continually evaluate, develop and improve that technology.”
