Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI), in partnership with Snoman Inc. and the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba (IBAM), has given the province’s snowmobilers more payment options to purchase their Snopasses.
Snowmobilers require a valid Snopass to travel legally on Snoman’s groomed snowmobile trails. The pass, which currently costs $125, must be visible on the licence plate of the snowmobile.
MPI has been selling Snopasses since 2009, but a time-payment option was not available until now and customers had to purchase the passes separately from their regular registration and insurance.
Effective Nov. 29, 2010, the cost of the Snopass can be included with the regular insurance policy and registration. Customers who have renewal dates falling outside the snowmobile riding season will be able to defer their payments to Dec. 1.
Customers who purchase Snopasses can now:

  • pay immediately
  • defer payment until the riding season in December
  • add their Snopasses to their monthly financing agreement and it will be part of their installments during the riding season.
