Partnership brings travel emergency service to Canada

Profco Insurance & Financial Services Ltd., a Canadian based online travel insurance portal, recently partnered with travel-related global emergency services provider Travel Assist Network.
Profco has begun offering the Air Rescue Card, and other online travel insurance products, to Canadian corporate and leisure travelers.
The Air Rescue Card was launched by Travel Assist Network as a membership program providing 24-hour medical assistance, evacuation, and critical information services to business and leisure travelers anywhere in the world. The U.S.-based firm currently operates an emergency travel assistance center from Montral and Chicago with additional locations in over 40 countries worldwide.
The Air Rescue Card covers any member traveling 99 miles or more from home. The program provides medical evacuation service to any individual despite age and includes a guaranteed trip home for family members and dependents.
Robert Wiseman, president of Profco Insurance and Investments, says the Air Rescue Card covers the financial stresses that members may encounter due to unpredictable travel emergencies.
Travelers with the Air Rescue Card will be evacuated to the hospital of their choice, regardless of medical necessity, as long as they are stable enough to be transported with the support of the company’s medical flight crews and air ambulance equipment.
