SCM integrates its two IMEs, rebrands the new unit Cira Medical Services Inc.

Two of Canada’s independent medical evaluation (IME) companies have come together to become Cira Medical Services Inc.

The rebranded company offers the combined strengths of the client-focused operations, Riverfront Medical Services and Medisys IMA.

“We felt that the best way to communicate this client-driven direction was to re- brand the combined entity,” Cira president Corey Smith says in a statement.

Cira Medical Services houses medical professionals on staff to help clients navigate the assessment process. It also has an expanded network of registered health professionals who can handle depth and breadth of medical specialties.

SCM Insurance Services entered the IME market late last year with the acquisitions of the two companies. As it continues to integrate the two, SCM’s focus is to offer clients medical services enhanced by a proprietary workflow management system, expanded geographic coverage and continued business transparency.
