Scotiabank Group has launched ScotiaLife Financial, a new insurance brand that will be distributed via online and retail storefronts.
ScotiaLife Financial’s suite of insurance products includes both home and auto products, as well as additional life, health, travel and credit products. Its first retail storefront is in Mississauga, Ontario.
The home and auto insurance offerings provide comprehensive coverage for vehicles, including motor homes and snowmobiles, as well as residential and vacation homes, condominiums and the personal property of renters.
“Insurance is a critical component of Scotiabank Group’s strategic priorities,” said Robin Hibbard, executive vice president of personal lending and insurance at Scotiabank.
“We continue to see insurance as a growth platform for Scotiabank Group and we will endeavour to further expand the insurance business going forward.”
The ScotiaLife Financial insurance centre will initially offer home and auto insurance with licensed agents on-site. The company is considering opening more pilot locations in the future, the release says.
Customers are also able to obtain quotes through the insurer’s Web site.
