The Co-operators provides funding for emerging co-operatives

The Co-operators announced $115,800 in grants to 11 emerging Canadian co-operatives.
The funding is provided through The Co-operators Foundation Co-operative Development Program.
The following organizations received funding:
•Dominion Newspaper Co-operative, $9,000;
•Cooperative de travail du College des Hauts Sommets, $15,000;
•Ensemble.coop, $10,000;
•Funeral Co-operative of Ottawa Inc., $15,000;
•By the Bushel Community Food Co-op Inc., $6,500;
•ParlT Worker Co-op, $5,000;
•Peg City Car Co-op Inc., $6,300;
•Kootenay Columbia Senior’s Housing Co-operative, $15,000;
•Umbrella Mutlicultural Health Cooperative, $15,000;
•Cedar Opportunities Co-operative, $10,000; and
•Nanaimo CarShare Cooperative, $9,000.
