The Guarantee Company of North America celebrates its 140th anniversary

The Guarantee Company of North America celebrated its 140th anniversary on Apr. 9.

“After 140 years, our company philosophy is still based on the original principle that product specialization and financial strength are key factors in building a successful business,” says Robert Dempsey, president and chief operating officer. “This year we will celebrate our past, while looking forward to the future.”

In partnership with independent brokers and agents, The Guarantee offers a wide range of specialty products, including surety, crime, directors and officers, fidelity and Guarantee Gold.

Since opening its first office in Montreal in 1872, The Guarantee has grown to seven offices within Canada and 21 branches throughout the USA. Operating in all provinces and territories within Canada, The Guarantee head office is located in Toronto, with branch offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Woodstock, Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax.

The USA home office is located in Detroit, Michigan and has operated under the name of The Guarantee Company of North America since December 2003.
