Thomas Cook enhances travel insurance product

Thomas Cook Financial Services has enhanced its travel insurance product.

“We are extremely pleased to introduce the new Thomas Cook Travel Insurance product,” said Kevin McAdam, director of financial services at Thomas Cook North America. “Pets, golf green fees and travel disruption – they are all things our travellers want insured, we’ve listened and we’re now providing expanded insurance,” he added.

Enhancements include coverage for:

• Unannounced Strikes.

• Pet Care: Covers a pet’s unexpected trip to the vet.

• Missed connections.

• Golf trips: Thomas Cook will reimburse unused, pre-paid golf packages if a trip to the links was interrupted.

• Hearing and Vision: Includes coverage for breaking or losing a hearing aid or glasses while on vacation.

The new Thomas Cook Travel Insurance product is available nationwide at ThomasCook.ca or at one of our 109 retail outlets across Canada. Under the Sears Travel brand, the new product will be sold as Sears Financial Travel Insurance. This encompasses all of the same offerings as the Thomas Cook Travel Insurance product.
