Trucking industry gains access to contractor management services

The Canadian trucking industry has gained access to Contractor Management Services’ (CMS) propriety technology through NAL Insurance.

CMS and NAL Insurance have partnered to help NAL’s client companies and independent contractors lower costs, reduce risk and ensure compliance, notes a statement from CMS. The technology will provide access to a real-time online platform, where posts can be viewed and discussed between client companies and independent contractors.

“In the transportation industry, it is very difficult for a trucking company to establish any type of competitive advantage,” said Chris Henry, vice president and general manager of NAL Insurance. The idea is to help all customers “do more with the same or less overhead.”
