Two brokerages added to Western Financial Group stables

The Western Financial Group (TSX: WES), formerly known as Hi-Alta Capital, has added two more Saskatchewan brokerages to its arsenal.
Stark Agency Ltd., a family brokerage in Shaunavon, and Torch River Agencies in White Fox will join more than 40 other brokerages in the network.
The Stark Agency has been in operation since 1969, with head Joe Stark remaining as part of Western’s management. Commenting on the sale, Stark says, “”I am extremely pleased with this opportunity, which will give our customers increased coverage options and will give our staff some additional growth opportunities, while allowing us to continue to maintain our strong commitment to the community.”
The Torch River Agency will operate as a branch of Fiddler Agencies, Western’s Nipawin-based office.
