Wawanesa Insurance has achieved CSIO Certification for its eDocs solution, the Centre for the Study of Insurance Operations said Thursday.

“Wawanesa Insurance is excited to have received certification from CSIO for our eDocs program, which is currently in use in approximately 600 of our brokers’ offices across Canada. We expect more brokers to get on board as a result of this certification,” Chris Luby, the company’s vice president of marketing and business development said in a release.

Luby noted that eDocs aligns with Wawanesa’s corporate goal to “enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of delivering products and services.”

Brokers registering for eDocs will no longer receive paper copies of policy declarations, to help control printing and mailing costs, savings which will be passed down to Wawanesa’s policyholders, the release noted.

CSIO Certification is available to member insurance companies and vendors. eDocs is the first business activity available for certification, with plans to expand the program to cover other activities.

“We congratulate Wawanesa Insurance on obtaining CSIO Certification for eDocs,” Catherine Smola, president and CEO of CSIO commented in the statement.

“With certification, Wawanesa Insurance demonstrates its commitment to standardized solutions and efficient workflows for its broker partners, reducing costs and supporting exceptional customer service.”
