Long Island Business News, a leading regional business journal, recently recognized Roslyn Spiegel, senior vice president of Hub International Northeast, as one of Long Island’s “Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business.” This list is comprised of elite female professionals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and growth throughout their careers, as well as have made significant contributions to the economy and business community. The award was presented at a signature gala, held on the May 24, 2005 at the Crest Hollow County Club in Woodbury, New York. Spiegel began her career with HUB International Northeast and currently serves as a senior vice president. She manages a team of over ten risk management professionals. Roz holds a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. HUB is a leading North American insurance brokerage that provides property and casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services through offices located in the United States and Canada.

Jardine Lloyd Thompson L.L.C. (JLT), recently set up a division to help U.S. clients recognize exposure risks of emerging markets. John M. Minor, formerly national director of political risks at Aon Trade Credit, will be president of the new division known as Emerging Markets that is set to “meet the needs of U.S.-domiciled clients engaged in business in the world’s emerging markets,” according to JLT.
