The Hamilton Bulldogs have teamed up with the Hamilton Hornets Rugby Football Club to host Sean Corner Benefit Night on Friday, Mar. 30 when the Bulldogs host the Grand Rapids Griffins at Copps Coliseum. Corner has been a 6-year member of the Hamilton Hornets, when he suffered a spinal cord injury during a rugby game on Sept. 9, 2006. Tickets for the benefit event are $15 and can be purchased by emailing paul.giordano@hamiltonbulldogs.com or Andrew.staios@hamiltonbulldogs.com. The Sean Corner Benefit Fun will receive $5 from each ticket sold, and prizes, including an autographed Team Canada Rugby jersey, will be raffled off.

Aviva Canada Inc. has lowered its rates for inexperienced drivers, as long as they have not had any accidents or convictions. The Clean Start Discount is available to drivers licensed less than 6 years, who have not had any convictions or accidents. The reduction will vary, depending on where the driver lives and their driving experience, but ranges from 0 to 70%. The discount gives new drivers and their parents, a significant reduction in their automotive insurance bill, Jennifer Power, senior vice president of Avivas Atlantic Region, said in a statement. The benefit is available to both new drivers with their own policy and to parents with children listed as occasional drivers.
