Gore Mutual Insurance Company has increased its investment in The Insurance Brokers Association of Canadas Broker Identity Program (BIP) for 2007. Gore Mutuals decision to become a full partner of IBAC is the result of our commitment to brokers, Kevin McNeil, president and CEO of Gore Mutual, said in a statement. By speaking with a united voice, insurance brokers manage to effectively and succinctly communicate the concerns affecting their profession to legislators and other decision makers. Launched in 1989, BIP is a branding campaign for more than 30,000 insurance brokers and was supported by 20 insurance companies.

Aviva Canada Inc. is now offering insurance to organizations that sponsor golf tournaments across Canada. The Hole-in-One insurance product allows tournament organizers to offer a cash (or equivalent) prize to anyone who makes a hole-in-one on one of the par 3 holes. Aviva piloted the product in 2006, and an on-line quoting tool is now available for interested purchasers at www.avivaholeinone.com. By visiting the site, users can receive a quote in less than 15 seconds, with coverage limits from $5,000 to $50,000. If the policy quote is accepted, payment options and policy documents are immediately available.
