Hub International Limited (TSX: HBG) announced that its shareholders approved the proposed plan for Apax Partners and Morgan Stanley Principle Investments to acquire all of Hubs common shares.
The plan of arrangement was approved by 92.7% of the votes cast by all shareholders at the meeting and by 91.9% of the votes cast by disinterested shareholders, which excludes members of the management who have committed to make an investment in an affiliate of the entity that is acquiring Hub, says a company statement.
Subject to obtaining the final order on the plan of arrangement from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and satisfaction of all conditions to closing, the plan of arrangement is subject to close on or around June 13, 2007.

FM Global has donated US$135,000 to the Clark Schools Department of Fire Protection Engineering for the construction of a one-of-a-kind laboratory.
The work conducted by students and faculty in the new lab will help advance the field of fire science and engineering to help reduce risk and improve prevention of fire, a leading cause of commercial and industrial property destruction worldwide.
The new lab is expected to open in April 2008.
