Benfield has inked an agreement with Lloyds to provide an extensive range of risk modelling and consulting services to the market and its syndicates.
Under the terms of the five-year agreement, Lloyds will license Benfields dynamic financial analysis modelling tool ReMetrica Professional Edition for its own regulatory capital modelling requirements, as well as developing a special edition specifically for the Lloyds market, a Benfield release says.
It is ever more vital for underwriting entities to have a truly comprehensive understanding of the way their full range of financial risks can and do interact, Mike Steel, Chairman of Benfield ReMetrics, said in a statement.
In addition to the financial risk modelling tools, the new contract also includes a consultancy agreement giving Lloyds access to the specialist analytical and modelling skills within Benfields 200-strong team of actuaries, financial analysts, natural hazards modellers and risk consultants.

Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC announced the appointment of Joan Lamm-Tennant as global chief economist and risk strategist.
Lamm-Tennant will be responsible for designing and implementing Guy Carpenters global business plans and growth strategies, focusing on risk and capital advisory services, new business development and enterprise risk management (ERM), says a Guy Carpenter release.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter she was vice president of general reinsurance and the president of General Re Capital Consultants, an independent consulting group that advises insurance companies on ERM and capital management.
