Tesfaye Fekade has been appointed to the position of vice president, operations of MSA Research Inc.
In a press release, Joel Baker, MSA president and CEO, commented that Fekade is an extremely valued addition to the MSA team.
His deep technical knowledge coupled with his prior professional experience enable us to substantially ramp up service delivery, customer-support and analytical product development going forward, Baker said.
Before joining MSA,Fekade spent several years at A.M. Best Canada Ltd. and more recently in the claims department of a major Canadian insurer.

An expert panel will explore the changing role of the broker in Canadas volatile marketplace at the National Insurance Conference of Canada (NICC) on October 1 in Montreal.
Panelists include Brenda Rose, vice president, Firstbrook, Cassie & Anderson; Barry Lorenzetti, president, BFL Canada; Doug Guedes, Seafirst Insurance Brokers, chair of Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia; and Chris Fawcus, president and CEO, Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc.
The panel will debate how brokers can position themselves to deal with such pressing issues as new regulations and market conditions and advances in technology, as well as the different compensation models (fees versus commissions) and will also address what is and isn’t working in the current industry environment.
