Ten new drivers in Saskatchewan have received Cdn$1,000 after completing the Graduated Drivers Licensing program without any traffic convictions, suspensions or at-fault collisions.
SGI is pleased to reward safe driving habits among our provinces new drivers, Phyllis Glowatsky, SGIs Manager of Driver Programs, said in a release. With this added incentive, it is our hope that new drivers will recognize that it pays to develop safe driving habits right from the start.
The 2007 winners are: Braden Blais, Tyler Spink, Ryan Stanley, Shane Thomas, Sheldon Bradley, Kalie Migneault, Amanda Marcenko, Chloe Duncan, Robyn Laycock and Stephanie Woo.
The deadline for the next draw is August 31, 2008.

Travelers is taking action with the intent of mitigating the negative effects of climate change, encouraging environmentally sound behaviour and conserving national resources, according to a release.
Travelers is raising awareness by initiating business continuity workshops in catastrophe-prone areas, providing support to the Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) to promote damage mitigating strategies, and sponsoring the National Hurricane Survival Initiative, according to a release.
The company has also established a Climate Change Committee aimed at identifying emerging risks which might require new underwriting strategies or development of new coverage that are responsive to a changing climate, according to the release.
