Optimum General Inc. has become a Full Partner of the Broker Identity Program (BIP) for 2007, the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) announced.
By investing in the program, Optimum supports the message being delivered every day to consumers, legislators, government officials, and regulators about the value brokers provide, Jean-Claude Pag, president and CEO of Optimum General Inc, said in a release. Being a Canadian insurer that exclusively distributes its products through insurance brokers, Optimum is proud to be part of this national program. Along with our many local projects, it is a tangible initiative that carries on our commitment to the broker distribution system and fully supports the significant contribution brokers provide by the advice, choice and coverage they offer their clients.

Royal & SunAlliance has announced they are extending their participation in the AIR MILES Reward Program to include small business owners who purchase a Small Business Solutions policy through a local Royal & SunAlliance broker.
We know that small businesses are the backbone of the Canadian economy, employing more than 4 million people and driving 45 per cent of our country’s economic output. We are pleased to award entrepreneurs with AIR MILES reward miles on their Small Business Solutions insurance policies,” Rowan Saunders, President & CEO of Royal & SunAlliance, said in a release.
Beginning on Oct. 1, all new and existing Small Business Solutions policy holders will be eligible to earn one reward mile for every $20 of their premium, according to the release.
