Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Company of Canada (R&SA) has teamed up with Policy Works Inc. to exchange commercial lines data electronically.
This will make it easier for brokers using Policy Works to obtain quotes on commercial lines business from R&SA, according to press release issued by Royal & SunAlliance.
The integration of Rapid eQuote, R&SAs web-quoting tool, with Policy Works Commercial Management System will enable brokers who do business with R&SA to upload commercial-lines submissions from Policy Works into Rapid eQuote, the release notes. R&SA and Policy Works will work together using the CSIO XML Commercial-lines Standard.
The integration is expected to be complete in early 2008.

EW Disaster Kleenup Canada L.P. (EW) has acquired Rosco Enterprises, an emergency response and restoration business in Dorval, Quebec.
Considering that Quebec is Canada’s largest province by area and second largest by population, the acquisition of Rosco is especially important for our national growth strategy,” Lyle Kerr, EW’s president and CEO, said in a press release.
Rosco also improves our ability to serve all of our customers as a one-stop shop, Kerr adds, because Rosco adds a special expertise in freeze-dry document restoration in which water-damaged documents, books and other valuable paper products are restored as closely as possible to their original state.
