Rod Hancock has officially assumed his new role as president of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO).
After a career as a psychology professor at the University of Western Ontario, Hancock launched a career in the insurance brokerage business in 1979, when he joined the London branch of Rowlands Insurance Brokers Limited, an IBAO release says.
In 1998, Rowlands Insurance and McFarlan Martin Insurance became McFarlan Rowlands. Hancock serves as president and CEO of the brokerage.
He served on the IBAO board of directors from 1997 until 2000, chairing a number of committees including education and membership, the release adds. In 2005, he was elected to the executive of IBAO.
Most recently, he completed a term as chair of the IBAO’s administration and finance committee.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. expanded its healthcare professional liability claims administration practice in the areas of investigations, risk management and auditing.
In its professional liability practice, Sedgwick CMS provides malpractice and other complex claims administration services for healthcare organizations such as hospitals, medical practice groups, extended care facilities, research and teaching institutions, medical device and pharmaceutical companies, and others, a company release says.

Over.
