The Toronto Insurance Women’s Association (TIWA) will be adding an extra splash of red and white to this year’s Valentine’s Day celebrations when it hosts its annual wine and cheese reception on Feb. 14, 2008.
Guests will indulge in fine culinary offerings and clink their wine glasses with fellow industry peers at this year’s reception, to be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Constitution Hall (in the North Building) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets are being sold for $38 in advance only, not at the door.

Peter Levene has been reappointed as chairman of Lloyd’s.
Ewen Gilmour and Graham White were reappointed as deputy chairmen of Lloyd’s and Bill Knight was reappointed as deputy chairman of council, a Lloyd’s release says.
Catlin Syndicate Limited, represented by Paul Jardine, was also elected as a corporate ‘C’ external member for a three-year term. Jardine is deputy chairman of Catlin Underwriting Agencies Limited and is also the chairman of the Lloyd’s Market Association.
Of the recent council appointments, Lord Levine said: “With their combined experience they will add tremendous value in helping to underpin robust management of the underwriting cycle.”
