Justin Trudeau, humanitarian and son of the late former prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, will host the sixth annual Charity of Hope fundraiser in Hamilton, Ont.
Charity of Hope is a non-profit organization supporting children in need. Its fundraiser will be held on Mar. 28 at Carmen’s.
The theme of this year’s event, “Generation H,” is designed to engage the next generation of leaders, a release says.
“Justin Trudeau is a charismatic young man motivated to inspire change among Canadians,” says Charity of Hope founder and chairman Sam Mercanti, who is also the president and CEO of CARSTAR Automotive Canada. “He is a perfect representative of the next generation.”
While looking to the future, the event will also offer a taste of decades past through a nostalgic menu and popular music and dance from recent eras, a release says. Guests can also participate in a series of both live and silent auctions.
Funds raised that evening will be go to support various local groups such as City Kidz, The Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation, the United Way and other individual recipients.
Tickets are $50 and are available at the Carmen’s box office at 905-387-0007.
