Manitoba’s CIP Society wants to help make dreams a reality, by organizing a gala to help raise money to build new homes for families in need.
Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 will mark the first CIP Society of Manitoba Dreambuild Gala, in association with the non-profit association Habitat for Humanity.
“We wanted to host an event that would reflect the calibre of graduates in our Society, while raising awareness for a great cause,” the president of the Insurance Institute of Manitoba, Barb Raison, said in a press release.
The formal gala will take place at the Fort Gary Hotel in Winnipeg, with cocktails beginning at 6 p.m.
Tickets for this event are Cdn$125, including tax, and are available for purchase through the Insurance Institute of Manitoba. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.insuranceinstitute.ca/.

Kingsway Financial Services will be taking a hiatus from organizing its North American Insurance Conference (NAIC) in Florida this year.
The 2008 NAIC has been cancelled, although some potential remains for a 2009 edition to be organized next year.
KFS president and CEO Bill Star retired this year and, in view of a busy retirement vacation itinerary, has decided to take a break from organizing Kingsway’s annual Florida-based conference in 2008.
