Alberta’s Superintendent of Insurance has raised the maximum fee and disbursements for physical therapy services related to the automobile accident insurance benefits regulation.
The new rate for the amount payable for completion of an assessment of an insured is Cdn$109.
The amount payable for completion of an injury management consultation is Cdn$217.50.
The new amount payable for a treatment visit is Cdn$38.50.

AIG Environmental has launched AIG Passport for pollution legal liability (PLL).
AIG Passport is designed to allow multinational companies to secure PLL insurance where they need it around the world, an AIG release says.
It is available in more than 30 countries, Canada included. Its features include:
locally-admitted coverage with each local (foreign) policy, with terms and conditions in sync with local laws, regulations and customs;
access to local resources to manage claims and litigation;
payment for covered claims made “in country;” and
an insurance policy written in the local language.
