Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada will now be known as RSA.
The company, created after a merger between Sun Alliance and Royal Insurance 10 years ago, has been through some fundamental changes since that time, a release notes.
In light of that, the company says it felt it was the right time to modernize its identify to support its profitable growth strategy.
The new name and logo will be implemented immediately.
“RSA reflects where we are today as a company and where we’re headed,” Rowan Saunders, president & CEO, said in the release. “Our new logo reflects an RSA that keeps you moving, protecting what’s most important to you while you get on with the business of living life.”

RBC Insurance and Aon Reed Stenhouse have signed an agreement making Aon the exclusive broker for competitive and comprehensive commercial property and casualty and trade credit insurance solutions to Canadian business owners.
“Our agreement with Aon combined with our existing products and services will enable us to provide Canadian businesses large and small with innovative advice and effective solutions tailored to meet their insurance needs,” Neil Skelding, president & CEO, RBC Insurance, said in a release.
Chris Fawcus, president and CEO, Aon Reed Stenhouse, added that, “RBC Insurance business clients will benefit from being presented with multiple options from a group of insurers, rather than just one.”
