The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce has named Windsor CARSTAR Collision the 2008 Service Company of the Year.
The Chamber’s annual business excellence awards honour those who go above and beyond establishing successful businesses; they also recognize people who contribute to the community and development of the regional economy.
Dennis Carlini, president and CEO of Windsor CARSTAR Collision, was also a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.
The company opened in June 2004. For each of the past three years, it has had sales of over Cdn$2 million, Carlini notes.
The company won the CARSTAR Presidents Award in 2006.

The redesigned 2009 Acura TSX has been awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) Top Safety Pick.
To qualify for recognition, a vehicle must earn the highest rating of ‘Good’ in the IIHS front, side and rear tests. It must also be equipped with stability control.
“This is the third Acura and the eighth model from Honda to earn our top award,” IIHS president Adrian Lund said in a release. “Frontal crashworthiness has improved dramatically for all cars in recent years, but there still are significant differences in how vehicles perform in our side and rear tests.”
