Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) has partnered with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) for its 2009 Crime Prevention Program.
The 2009 program will see 25,000 educational booklets handed out across the province by police officers in an effort to educate Ontarians about the consequences and preventative measures related to auto theft and insurance fraud.
“Insurance fraud hurts everyone,” Randy Carroll, IBAO’s CEO said. “It’s important that Ontarians know that we all lose when people make fraudulent insurance claims. “Insurance brokers work for the consumer and should be your first point of contact when making a claim.”

Canadian Claims Services has announced the addition of its first franchisee.
Dana L. Nieminen entered into a CCS franchise agreement for Winnipeg, Manitoba and surrounding area. He brings more than 30 years of insurance claims experience to the newly formed company.
“We couldn’t be more excited with Dana becoming our first franchisee,” said David Riddell, CCS president. “I have worked with Mr. Nieminen for many years and respect and admire his claims and administrative expertise.”
