Immunization for the H1N1 virus is expected to begin late October, according to Canada’s chief public health officer, as quoted by Reuters.
Dr. David Butler-Jones, chief public health officer at the Public Health Agency of Canada, was quoted by the news agency as saying Canada is hoping to start immunizing for the virus in late October, to be completed before Christmas.
“There are many things that need to take place between now and then so everything still looks on track, but there’s still much work to do,” he said in a conference call, Reuters reported.

More than 140 Carstar Collision Centres in Canada and the United States washed in excess of 6,000 cars, earning the Guinness World Record title for the largest car wash.
In Canada, on June 20, more than 80 locations participated in the ‘Soaps it Up National Car Wash Day,’ which raised more than Cdn$100,000 for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and local charities.
Over the past nine years, Carstar Automotive Canada has raised more than Cdn$1.6 million to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
