David Koa has been appointed executive vp, sales and marketing for McLarens Canada.
Koa will also be responsible for the sales and marketing of Granite Global Solutions Inc. of which McLarens Canada is one of six member companies.
Koa holds more than 25 years experience in senior management roles and has developed and managed sales and marketing divisions for a number of national businesses, a release from McLarens says.

The Canadian Securities Administrators has concluded, after consulting industry stakeholders, that now is not an appropriate time to introduce significant changes to Canada’s corporate governance regime.
In Dec. 2008, the CSA published proposed changes to the corporate governance regime entitled, and asked for comment from industry stakeholders.
The CSA received numerous comments about the timing of the proposal. These comments noted that issuers are currently focused on business sustainability issues (given the challenging economic climate) and on the transition to International Financial Reporting Standards.
“Based on the comments received, we do not intend to implement the proposal as originally published,” said Jean St-Gelais, CSA chair.
“We do not believe that now is the right time to make such changes. We are reconsidering whether to recommend any changes to the corporate governance regime.”
