What’s New: In Brief (March 01, 2010)

The Co-operators has ultimately raised $298,270 for the Canadian Red Cross in support of the organization’s relief efforts for victims of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
A total of $149,135 was donated personally by Co-operators employees, agents and their staff, directors, delegates, members of its community advisory panels, as well as by students who participated in IMPACT! The Co-operators Youth Conference for Sustainability Leadership.
The Co-operators matched these contributions dollar-for-dollar.

Disaster Kleenup Canada Ltd., a network of restoration professionals, has added two new members, one in B.C. and the other in Ontario.
The new members are:
•    Hickman Mount Reconstruction (HMR) Inc.
HMR is located in London, Ontario, and will serve customers in London, Strathroy, Woodstock and surrounding areas.
•    ProPacific Restorations Ltd.
ProPacific is located in Nanaimo and Port Alberni, British Columbia, and will serve customers in the Nanaimo, Parksville, Port Alberni and surrounding areas.
