Willis North America has appointed Don Bailey to the position of chief executive officer.
Bailey succeeds Mario P. Vitale, who, after six years at Willis, will leave the brokerage to take the position of CEO of Zurich’s Global Corporate North American operations, according to the brokerage.
Bailey joined Willis from Allianz Insurance Co. in March 2003. Previously Bailey served as chief operating officer of Willis North America.
In his new New York-based position, Vitale will report to CEO of Zurich Global Corporate Geoff Riddell. Reporting to Vitale will be president of Zurich Global Energy Pete Connors and president of Global Corporate Customer, North America John Kelm.
