John Sharoun has been promoted to the position of CEO of Crawford Adjusters Canada. He replaces Glenn Gibson, who was appointed CEO of Crawford’s Americas Region.
Sharoun’s appointment is part of a realignment of Crawford’s global property and casualty services operations, the company announced in a press release.
“John’s promotion to chief executive officer of Canada is well deserved and marks the final step in a long term plan designed to facilitate a smooth transition of leadership in our Canadian operation,” said Gibson. “Since becoming chief operating officer just over one year ago, John has worked with his management team to get a jump start on the implementation of an aggressive three-year plan for our company. I have every confidence that he will see this plan through to completion in his new role.”
Sharoun has more than 30 years of experience in the Canadian insurance industry. He worked during the first half of his career with leading insurers such as Hartford Insurance Group, Allstate Insurance Company of Canada, and Laurentian Casualty Company of Canada.
In 1990, Sharoun became an independent insurance adjuster. He was a partner in his own firm until it was acquired by Adjusters Canada in 1995.
When Crawford acquired Adjusters Canada in 1998, Sharoun was responsible for the development of the global technical services division across Canada.
