Co-operators launch application for Apple hand-held devices

The Co-operators has launched an application enabling insureds to submit home and auto insurance claims using their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
After downloading ‘Mobile Assist,’ insureds can input their basic home and auto insurance information into their profile so it’s readily available should they need to submit a claim.
Claims are submitted through a secure transmission, along with photos taken with the hand-held device. Alternatively, the app has a one-touch dialing option to connect the insured with a Co-operators representative to submit their claim over the phone.
The application can be used by home and auto insurance clients of Co-operators General Insurance Company throughout Canada. It can be downloaded for free from Apple’s online App Store.
