KRG acquires p/c lines from Safety Insurance

KRG Insurance Brokers Inc. has purchased the property/casualty non-transportation business from Safety Insurance Service (1959) Ltd.
Effective May 1, 2007, this acquisition reinforces KRGs desire to expand its commercial client base, while drawing upon our expertise in handling commercial and VIP personal asset accounts, Paul Martin, president and chief operating officer of KRG, said in a statement.
In addition, KRG and Safety have entered into a strategic relationship that will enable each firm to draw upon their core technical competencies to provide their respective clients with a seamless property/casualty asset protection experience.
Safety is a provider of fleet insurance in Canadas transportation industry.
Stephen Palmer, president and CEO of Safety Insurance, feels this sale will enable them to focus on their expertise in the transportation industry and be able to offer their clients more choice through a well-recognized stable firm like KRG Insurance Brokers, said a KRG release.
KRG Insurance Brokers Inc. identifies exposures and assembles tailor-made insurance portfolios specifically designed to protect all of its clients assets.
