Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick CMS) has launched an advanced user-managed alert feature, which will notify clients of changes in the status of claims in the JURIS claims management information system, a release reports.
The new feature is included with viaOne view, which is part of the viaOne suite of web tools that provide access to claims information and user-controlled data management and reporting capabilities of JURIS.
The new alert feature will increase the value of claims information by expanding user-defined parameters of notification affecting claims and allowing for accelerated analysis of trends.
The notification utility includes an extensive menu of information tracking points and comprehensive sequencing options, according to the release. These capabilities enable system users to establish unlimited numbers of alert triggers based on factors such as the duration, severity and processing status of claims. Users can also create alert nesting routines, which integrate combinations of contingencies into a single alert trigger.
The new feature operates with all JURIS-supported lines of business and also includes a variety of options for notification delivery, links to full files and modification of the alert duration and time of retention for alert data, the release reports.
Clients will be contacted this week and invited to participate in an upcoming online training on the use of the new system, an email to the magazine notes.
