The10th annual North American Export Committee (NAEC) meeting, hosted by the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC), will focus on the theme of the link between auto theft, organized crime and terrorism. The 2006 Auto Theft Export Summit will take place on June 8 – 9 in Ottawa at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. A wide variety of speakers, topics, and panel discussions will be featured, including a keynote address by The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety, about Canada’s Border Services Agency. NAEC brings together key players from police forces, crime bureaus (the FBI, Interpol, National Insurance Crime Bureau) and the insurance industry
across Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe to share valuable information and ideas to curtail auto theft for export, which remains a staple of organized crime and terrorism.
