Aon eSolutions has released a new environmental module as part of RiskConsole, its browser-based risk management information system (RMIS).
Developed in conjunction with Aon Environmental Services Group, the module provides organizations with the ability to effectively manage the multi-faceted environmental due diligence process, which generates volumes of sampling data, assessment reports, regulatory correspondence and other legal correspondence, according to a release.
“RiskConsole enables efficient tracking and warehousing of information to thoroughly document environmental conditions. The information can be used to resolve prospective conflicts over indemnities and regulatory actions, as well as to obtain the best-possible environmental insurance coverage for their individual properties or portfolios, Kathleen Burns, CEO of Aon eSolutions, said in the release.

XL Insurance has unveiled an enhanced version of its pollution and remediation legal liability (PARLL) policy, which includes mould coverage and expanded protection against natural resources damage and third party transportation risks.
XL Insurance companies Greenwich Insurance Company and Indian Harbor Insurance Company will underwrite the coverage.
The PARLL policy provides coverage for loss, remediation expense and legal defense for sudden and gradual pollution conditions resulting at or from insured locations, according to an XL release.
The PARLL family of environmental policies, including this enhanced form, is designed to address the environmental risk management needs of businesses including industrial and commercial real estate, waste management, chemical firms, and property owners and operators, the release says.
